Charity Twist Headbands

Regular price $25.00 Sale

Using our jersey offcuts from recent production, we are making and selling these sweet twist headbands. They are a thinner style than our wide headband and feature a twist at the top. Super stretchy they fit children through to adults.

$20 of each headband sold will be donated to Rural Aid

Hive Aid is a drought and bushfire relief campaign aimed specifically at struggling beekeepers. Managed by Rural Aid, one of Australia’s largest rural charities. Hive Aid will provide financial assistance to professional beekeepers impacted by ongoing drought and bushfires.

Australian professional beekeepers are experiencing one of the toughest seasons on record. The scarcity of water, lack of flowering trees and burning bushland mean honey production has fallen sharply, bee populations have suffered, and many honey bees are currently neither producing honey nor pollinating crops. This impact will be felt for many years to come due to a loss of bushland and forests that are relied on to support healthy bee colonies.

Why bees are important. Globally there are more honey bees than other types of bee and pollinating insects, so it is the world's most important pollinator of food crops. It is estimated that one third of the food that we consume each day relies on pollination mainly by bees, but also by other insects, birds and bats.

Please allow us 1-2 weeks to get these made and shipped. Although we will work as fast we can and Karla's lovely children will pitch in time to help iron and package them.

Lots of love, Karla and her family xx
